Overview
Su Residence: A Modern Retreat Framed by New Zealand’s Alpine Splendor Perched in a postcard-perfect New Zealand setting (echoing the dramatic alpine landscapes of regions like Queenstown), Su Residence is a architectural love letter to the country’s iconic natural beauty—with a $4,000,000 budget dedicated to framing snow-capped peaks and glacial lakes as the home’s ultimate backdrop. This project encompasses full design and construction documentation for a light-filled, multi-level residence that merges sleek modernity with unobstructed views of New Zealand’s rugged mountains. The home’s minimalist white facade and floor-to-ceiling glass walls act as a “frame” for the surrounding scenery: the open-plan kitchen, living, and dining zones (fitted with warm timber accents and seamless indoor-outdoor access) let the snow-dusted peaks and turquoise lake take center stage. A glass-railed terrace and infinity-edge pool extend the living space outward, blurring lines between the home and the vast alpine landscape—turning morning coffee or evening gatherings into immersive encounters with New Zealand’s wilderness. Every design choice prioritizes connection to the environment: even the upper-level bedroom suite opens to a private balcony, ensuring guests wake to the sight of sun hitting snow-capped summits. Su Residence isn’t just a home—it’s a front-row seat to New Zealand’s most breathtaking natural drama, wrapped in the refined comfort of modern architecture.
